Bespoke Healthcare has become the first independent provider of neurophysiology testing services to achieve connection to the N3 NHS national network.
The company, which works in partnership with leading NHS hospitals throughout the UK, undertook the rigorous process to further protect the distribution of patient sensitive information through the secure NHSmail system while improving its clinical reporting turnaround time to less than 72 hours.
N3 is the secure national email and directory service for NHS staff in England and Scotland. It has been developed specifically to meet BMA requirements for exchanging data between NHSmail users.
To achieve N3 connection a private company must prove a business requirement to use NHSmail, obtain a NHS sponsor and agree to a strict company audit, including an assessment of the company’s IT policies and procedures.
Once these steps are completed the company undertakes an IG Toolkit Assessment, whereby all staff who use NHSmail complete data management online training and learn of all other data security and management requirements.
Gwam Rajiah, managing director of Bespoke Healthcare, said:
“The process of gaining an N3 connection is one of the most comprehensive business overviews a private company can undertake, and we achieved the grade with flying colours.
The NHS looks at every single element of the operation, from patient care to staff to finances to security to legal cover, and at every stage we proved we are a highly professional company working for the benefit of NHS hospitals.
Our goals have been the same since day one, and that is to deliver the best possible neurophysiology testing services at a local level at a highly competitive price. The N3 connection is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of our best business attainments since the company was created.”
Bespoke Healthcare is the leading independent provider of nerve conduction study tests for NHS hospitals throughout the UK.
Founded in 2006, the Preston-based company has seen over 20,000 patients nationwide for leading healthcare establishments nationwide including Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust.
